A two-day course built around California's specific permit requirements — one full day of online reading, then a full day of live instruction and qualification.
Day One: Online Curriculum (8 Hours)
The first day is entirely online and consists of required reading that must be completed prior to the in-person class. Topics include the California Supplement, Less Lethal Self-Defense, Mental Wellness, and Dry Fire.
Day Two: In-Person Training & Qualification (8 Hours)
•Date: June 27
•Start Time: 8:30 AM
•Location: 2559 Precision Drive, Minden, NV 89423
The in-person session covers firearms safety, tactics & techniques, CCW responsibilities and legalities, less lethal options, and recognition in other states.
Shooting Qualification & Testing:
•Course of fire is shot at 3, 5, and 7 yards.
•Every firearm you list must be shot, and every firearm must be registered to you.
•50 rounds total combined across all firearms (e.g., 25 each if you bring two). Up to 5 firearms accommodated.
•A 33-question written test will be administered at the end of the class. A passing score of 70% is required.
Post-Course Process:
Submit your training certificate, valid ID, and proof of residency to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office along with their $297 fee. Allow 3-4 weeks for approval, then return for fingerprinting and your photo.
